Augmented reality: Smartphones and driver safety?

Technology often gets a bad rap when it comes to safety, as mobile phones. It  is a reality that Smartphones  apps are a dangerous distractions and this is a well known fact.   But are the iphones only a distraction?

Further improvements in the technology can keep yet drivers, safer and better about what happens on the road. Technology companies and manufacturers alike are now experimenting with augmented reality – and the possibilities for driving safety and car repairs.

Augmented reality combined reality with computer-generated features. For example, some smartphone users with applications may be familiar with which a user of the camera of the phone on a company show. The phone screen shows that companies with computer-generated Extras, such as consumer reviews, prices and other similar companies close to (and how far away they are).
